Delete your account

You can delete your Focus Together account at any time. Deletion is permanent — there is no
recovery period — so please read what it does before you confirm.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Focus Together and sign in if you aren't already.
- Tap your nickname at the top right of the home screen to open My page (마이 페이지).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap 회원 탈퇴 (Delete account).
- Read the confirmation and tap 탈퇴. The account is deleted immediately and the app
returns to the welcome screen.
You can't delete while a focus session with a mate is in progress — finish or leave the session first.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email
hello.focusterra@gmail.com
with the subject "Delete my Focus Together account". Send it from the email address of the
Apple or Google account you signed in with — that's how we confirm the request is yours; we
don't have any other way to verify you. We'll complete the deletion and reply within 10 days.
What is deleted
- Your profile: nickname, handle, character and outfit choices, companion, and time zone.
- Your in-app points, inventory, and mission progress.
- The link between your account and your sign-in identity (Sign in with Apple or Google). If you
sign in again later, you start as a new account — your old records can't be reattached.
- Your focus session records — times, categories, topics, and notes.
- Your nickname is removed from any snapshot held in another person's block list.
- The link between you and any Pro purchase records.
- Everything stored locally on your device by the app, including your profile photo (which was never
uploaded — it only ever lived on your device).
What is kept, and for how long
- Your email address and name (name only if you signed in with Google). They are moved
to a separate archive, used only if we need to handle a dispute or an abuse report, and
permanently erased after 3 months.
- Match records — when you were matched, for how long and whether you finished, the
focus category, your country, and your character's type, gender, and companion — without your
nickname or outfit. Once the archive above is erased, they no longer identify you.
- Moderation records. If someone reported you, that report — including the nickname
you were using at the time — is kept for up to one year, or longer if we acted on it.
Otherwise deleting an account would be a way to erase a report against you.
- Anonymised purchase records, for bookkeeping and to handle refund disputes. They are
no longer linked to you.
- Anonymous or aggregate data that no longer identifies you.
Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed
by Apple or Google Play, not by us. Cancel it first — on iPhone in Settings → Apple Account →
Subscriptions, on Android in the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions —
or you'll keep being charged for a subscription attached to an account that no longer exists.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
From My page in the app you can change your nickname and handle, remove your profile
photo, and unblock people. Custom categories can be deleted from the category list. You can cancel a
Pro subscription at any time with Apple or Google Play as described above.
